Spod Rods are well worth the investment and we would recommend going for something with a test curve to match the kind of weights you plan to spod out and your capability to compress a rod.

When buying a spod rod you will need a high quality spod or carp reel that will be able to withstand the constant abuse that it will be put through, you will also require the reel to have a large retrieve so that on winding the spod back from distance it will be effortless as it can be.
