When buying hooklink material make sure that you are purchasing something in the colour of the lakebed you are going to be fishing, also your choice of hooklink should be based on the kind of rig you are looking to present.

We have various hooklink types such as coated braid which is used well on clear and flat bottoms and are able to strip back some of the coating to make it supple in required areas allowing for different and more natural presentations.

Fluorocarbon is a great material and if used correctly carp can find this hard to eject once it has been sucked in to the mouth, another fantastic property of fluorocarbon is its light refraction property which makes it almost invisible in water hiding it away from those wary carp.

Last but not least is braid without a coating, this is a very supple material with a high breaking strain and low diameter which is perfect for almost all situations, because the braid is so supple it can take on the contours of any lake bed, debris or even weed without a nuisance kink potentially spooking carp away.
