I was fishing a river at the back of this pub and there landing stages were basically scaff holding around 8ft above the water and so my rod was resting under a metal mooring post which was T shaped (coulded use a rod rest nor a pod as the landing stage was about 50ft long shared by anglers and guests-mayhem) and my friend noticed my line tightening (which was the flow) and he ran over and yanked it hard forgetting the mooring post and the wood beneath it so the butt section snapped between solid planks of wood and a steel mooring post
