Well after a crap night on Black lake i returned to Cottington for some Therapy on Alder lake, Turned up at 6 o clock in the evening and the lake had about 9 people on it so i parked up in peg1. I Baited up 2 spots on the peg one all with PBs Quad bait on the friday i put about 1kilo in each spot and fished over with one with Quad topped with Red Corn and the other spot pop up corn.

That Night i had one run from my far margin spot ended up with 11.5lb Common, also had 2 runs from my pop up corn rig but lost both no idea why.

Second day came round and i went over and baited both spots again with about a 1/2kilo of quad and some maggots. Fished over top all day till 4 o clock had one run from far margin which was a 13lb Common.

4 o clock the rain came and so did the fish lol typical fashion had a screaming run and pulled into a big fish, played for about 5 mins in rain and after a good battle a nice 17.2lb common lay in the net. (new pb common). pictures taken and rods re set and 40 mins later i had another run from far margin still pouring with rain and guess what yep the second went off due in the fight of the far margin. Struck it with my other hand and put it down. Played one that i thought was smallest and got it in the net quick. Got the other rod and netted that also. one was 9lb ish common and the other a nice linear mirror first mirror of the day.

Set the rods back on there spots and another run from far margin Another low double Common, Out again and off again another low double and out again and off again lol high single. All commons i was a common magnit lol.


Rain stopped and the bites dried up, untill about 12 mid night and i had a nice 5lb tinca from the right margin didnt do much i thought i lost it but was there. Re-set and went back to sleep. 3 o clock was my last run another tinca from the far margin. By this time the bank was an ice rink and very dangerous and i was drowned lol but having 10 fish in 36 hours not a bad Therapy session lol.


And ones i didnt mention lol 4 missed runs also lol [] bad me.
