
Fish were taken from a garden pond in North-East Hampshire believed to be worth thousands of pounds.
There were around 70 or so Koi Carp stolen from the pond at a house in Medstead, near Alton between June 1st and June 8th. There were some very large fish in the stolen batch and these on their own can be worth hundreds to even thousands of pounds.
PC Nick Whitehouse said: “This was an unusual theft and it would have taken the offenders some time to catch the fish. They would also have had to used substantial fish nets to land them.
The local police are urging anyone with information or who has any suspicions to come forward and disclose the information as any information will be a help and could go on to help catching the Koi Carp thieves.
